As a member of Brookfield Global Relocation Services (BGRS), I am fully aware of the tight schedule you are under in order to find a home and get to know your new surroundings. Therefore, I assure you that you will be my priority during your House Hunting trip (HHT).

With limited time to get everything done, I invite you to contact me as quickly as possible so that we may begin the search for your new home. To optimise the process, here are some suggestions and information I will need.

Please send me your criteria for your new house (budget, house type, number of bedrooms, neighborhood, distance from work, school, etc.). I will provide you with property listings that correspond to your criteria (as a realtor, we have access to all available properties no matter the listing agency). You can also select properties online at Realtor.ca or Centris.ca in which case, send me the SIA or Centris numbers. Ideally, I suggest visiting between 10 and 12 houses.

In order to facilitate the process, I am able to refer you to other BGRS professional members such as notaries, building inspectors, mortgage brokers and more.

To expedite the process, it would be important to have started the procedure for your mortgage request. I can refer you to a mortgage broker so that we have a pre-approval letter on hand.

Once your promise to purchase is accepted, we will have to choose your building inspector, notary and contact your mortgage broker. I will reserve the inspector before your arrival in order to be ready.

It is very important that you bring all necessary documents for the purchase and funding process (2 proof of ID with picture, assignment message, proof of income, etc.).

To register your children for school, please bring the last report card and birth certificate.

In the province of Québec, the majority of houses are sold without the main appliances (refrigerator, kitchen stove, washer and dryer). If you plan to bring your own or to buy new ones, make sure to take measurements in order to ensure that they will fit.

If you need a place to stay during your trip, I can refer you to a hotel or motel approved by BGRS.
